New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra, whose father, Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away recently, is trying hard to put her brave self forward during this difficult time. The actress had reportedly organised a quiet birthday dinner for her mother, Madhu Chopra at home.
In order to make her mother feel special, Priyanka Chopra called all her mother’s close friends and aunts for a get-together to celebrate her mother’s first birthday without her husband, a tabloid reported.
According to sources, Priyanka Chopra had left no stone unturned to make her mother- who is still recuperating from the loss of her husband- feel a bit better on the special occasion.
“Priyanka called up few of her friends, her relatives and some of Madhu’s buddies for a quiet dinner at the Chopra residence on Saturday night,” a source said.
A guest, who was present at the dinner, has revealed that the actress was not able to control her tears during the meal.
“Priyanka tried very hard to control her tears. It was quite courageous of her to get back to work so soon after her dad’s death. Uncle always wanted her to stand strong through difficult times and that’s exactly what she has been doing,” a source said.
