London: Ryan Gosling has revealed that he was highly influenced by violence when he was a child in school.
In an interview with the Mirror, Gosling, who will be seen in the upcoming crime thriller ` Only God Forgives`, said that when as a child, he saw ` Rambo : First Blood`, he took knives to school and threw them at everybody the next day.
In his latest film, the 32-year-old actor plays Julian, a boxing club owner who is sucked back into his family`s criminal past when his brother is murdered and his tough-as-nails mother calls upon him to avenge the death.
The actor admitted that he agreed to sign up for the film in order to work with director pal Nicolas Winding Refn.
When asked if like Refn he also has fetish for violent images, Goslin said that for him violence has been a completely new way of working and it`s a new kind of film language that he is not really adept at.
