When Salman made Aishwarya laugh
Mumbai: We all know that the entire film industry was present at Mukesh Ambani’s bash to celebrate Sachin Tendulkar’s 100th ton. It was a gala event wherein the industry’s biggest and most glamorous stars made an appearance to congratulate the little master.
From Lata Mangeshkar to Aamir Khan to Salman Khan to Rani Mukherjee to Abhishek and Aishwarya, all were present at the starry event. The glamorous Priyanka Chopra emceed the event and all the stars spoke about Sachin.
What was interesting to see that Salman Khan was seated in the same row as Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. Salman sat next to Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao, just a few seats away from his ex, Aishwarya and her hubby Abhishek.
Considering their history, it could have been an uncomfortable situation for all those present there but it seems that the two stars were pretty much at ease. What was even more interesting to watch was when Salman went up on stage to address Tendulkar and cracked some jokes, Aishwarya burst out laughing along with others in the audience.
A video released of the party shows Salman pulling Aamir’s leg while addressing Sachin and making everyone in the audience go in splits. “Record bante hai todne ke liye. Main Aamir ka record bahut der se todne ki koshish kar raha hu, par toot hi nahi raha,” said Khan.
He then quoted a dialogue which is currently arch rival SRK’s favourite line. “yeh suna hai ki Sachin ka record todna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai. Aur yeh Don nahi main bol raha hoon.” This had the audience in splits. Then the cocky Salman added, “Bol bhi sakta hoon kyunki mere father ne hi likhi hai picture. Rights to likhne ki unhi ke paas hai.”
By this time laughter erupted in the room and Aishwarya was seen having a hearty laugh as well at Salman’s joke. Considering the relation that the two share, it came as a pleasant surprise to see Ash laughing at Salman’s joke.
Till very recently, the two stars were never seen at the same event and had been avoiding each other completely but they perhaps made an exception for the Ambanis and Sachin. Good to see that the two stars have finally made peace with their past. Or have they?
