Mumbai: Sanjay Gupta is basking in the success of his latest, ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and rightfully so. The film starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpayee and Tusshar Kapoor is indeed a fine piece of art and has garnered rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Gupta had previously made films with his once best friend Sanjay Dutt but is now reportedly thinking of having one of the Khans on board.
Apparently, the filmmaker is very close to Atul Agnihotri, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law and has also worked with Arbaaz in ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’, ‘Dus Kahaniya’ and ‘Woodstock Villa’.
Talking to DNA, an insider said, “Gupta and Salman’s sister’s husband Atul studied in the same class at Sydenham College and have been best friends since then. Gupta has been together with Atul since then and have seen Alvira and Atul through their dating to the wedding. He attended the wedding.”
However, Gupta is yet to work with Salman. With ‘SAW’ turning out to be nothing less a blockbuster, we may see the duo teaming up for a film soon.
But the story doesn’t end there. Shah Rukh Khan is believed to have asked Gupta to arrange for a special screening of ‘SAW’. So does that mean that SRK is contemplating a film with Gupta?
So who will be the first to sign a film with Gupta- Salman or Shah Rukh? We have to wait and watch.
