New Delhi: When Bollywood top-notch actress Deepika Padukone got an opportunity to thank her parents, she made the most of it. Deepika bagged the 'Best Actress' trophy at Filmfare awards, for her performance in 'Piku. She decided to 'thank' her parents by reading out an emotional letter penned by her own father, legendary badminton player—Prakash Padukone.

The letter was so emotional that not only did Dippy cry while reading it on-stage, but many others in the audience could also feel the love and affection with which a father had written to his daughter—Deepika and Anisha Padukone.

 

So, what's the controversy over it? Certain reports were doing the rounds that that the letter was borrowed from a book. However, it's not completely true. According to Bollywood Life.com, the letter is written by Prakash Padukone which happens to be a part of a compilation of a book called 'Legacy: Letters from Eminent Parents to their Daughters' by author Sudha Menon.

Sometimes, it's better to cross-check than slam celebrities for everything they do!
