Winning an Oscar was fabulous: Jean Dujardin

Los Angeles: French actor Jean Dujardin says winning the coveted golden statuette was fabulous but it did not change his perspective on acting.

The 41-year-old `The Wolf of Wall Street` actor won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in 2012 silent film `The Artist`, reportedly.

"There`s a big fantasy around the Oscar but I never bought it. It was a fabulous experience but after all, I`m a French actor, I`m not American and I love performing in my language," Jean said.

The actor, who took on roles in Hollywood blockbusters `The Wolf of Wall Street` alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and in `The Monuments Men` with George Clooney, said he would like to star in ambitious European arthouse movies like `The Wonders`.
