Woody Allen gifts Penelope Cruz his signature glasses

London: When Woody Allen finished shooting his film `Vicky Christina Barcelona`, he gave the film`s star, Penelope Cruz his signature glasses as a keepsake.

The Oscar winning filmmaker was so impressed by the Spanish beauty`s acting skills that he decided to gift her his only spare pair, reported Contactmusic. "He gave me a pair of his glasses, his only spare pair. But I can`t wear them. I put them on and I almost crashed the car. They are a museum piece," said the 37-year-old. Cruz who won an Oscar for her turn as a eccentric artiste in the film, also hinted at a upcoming collaboration with the director. "I love working with Woody. And it looks like we`re going to be working together again," she said. The actress shared a kiss with Scarlett Johansson in the film and though the actresses were comfortable locking lips, they deliberately tried to embarrass their director. "Scarlett and I were fine about it. We got along so well, she`s so sweet. But Woody? Ha. We knew we had to kiss and it wasn`t a big deal but we wanted to tease him. I`m sure he was more nervous than us," Cruz said. PTI
