Work comes first for Sanjay Dutt even as doctors advise rest
Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Dutt suffered hairline injury recently while working out in his hotel gym in Pattaya.
Sources at the hotel told reporters of a leading daily, that the actor was injured when a dumbbell fell on his right foot. The actor is in Thailand shooting for his home production, Rascals which also stars Ajay Devgan.
The doctor has advised the actor to use a walking stick for few weeks before the injury is healed.
Dutt's business manager and co-producer Dharam Oberoi revealed to reporters, "After pack-up, Sanju was working out at his gym when he slipped and fell. A dumbell fell on his right foot, causing an injury."
Adds Dharam, "Though no fracture was diagnosed the doctor told asked Baba to take necessary precaution, and rest."
Although the Doctor had advised Sanju to take rest for two days, the actor insisted on returning to work and completing the schedule as the heroine of the film, Kangna Ranaut, had to leave for Mumbai the next day.
The professional that Sanju is, he insisted that he was fine and would be able to shoot.
“A combination shot of Ajay, Sanju and Kangna was to be shot, and he wanted to finish that” said Dharam.
But sources add that by the time the shooting was completed, Dutt's condition worsened. "His foot further swelled and turned blue. Sanju was taken to the hospital again, and this time the X-ray revealed a hairline crack.”
Dutt's firend and co-starin the film, Ajay Devgn, has taken over the reins. Dharam says, "He is making sure that Sanju doesn't over exert himself. Sanju will rest only after the Bangkok schedule gets completed in Feb-end."
Lets hope that Sanju is up and about soon!
