Mumbai: Actor Zayed Khan, who is making a comeback though his maiden production venture `Love Breakups Zindagi`, is busy multi-tasking which involves reorganising his acting career and coping with fatherhood.
Zayed made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with `Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne` which bombed at the box office. He then starred in Farah Khan`s `Main Hoon Na`, which was one of the biggest hits in his career.
After `Main Hoon Na`, Zayed appeared in Rocky: The Rebel`, `Dus`, `Mission Istanbul`, `Yuvvraaj` and `Blue`.
But most of these flicks failed to take off at the box office. Zayed had a special appearance in `Anjaana Anjaani` (2010).
"I had to really re-look at the kind of films I did. I took a lot of decision based on the pinch of salt, and on friendship and relationships which I feel professionally it was not a right thing. I don`t know what do I call it... resurrecting or coming back but definitely I am looking at it more seriously," Zayed told PTI in an interview.
Meanwhile, the actor formed a production company `Born Free Entertainment Pvt Ltd` with actress Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha. His wife Mallaika is expecting her second child. They have a son, Ziddan, who was born on 18 January 2008.
"Besides all that, I was busy with building a production company and becoming a domestic engineer... changing nappies and feeding kids and family. It all requires a lot of time. It was all a blessing in disguise. I re-worked and re-looked at myself and do things that gave me happiness rather than doing something for someone else`s agenda and being part of a big budget film," Zayed said.
"I do love working in big budget films as you can do lot of things... be it action, as the scale is big. But I have realised that the scale is only as big as the effort and love you put in a subject," he said.
Zayed plays the lead in his maiden production venture, `Love Breakups Zindagi` that releases on October 7. The upcoming romantic film is directed by Sahil starring Dia Mirza opposite Zayed.
"The film takes on a journey that unravels many facets of love through lives of people who find themselves at different crossroads. The film has all the ingredients in terms of entertainment, fun and emotions and all. We have this beautiful subject and the scale is huge. It was lovely to be part of it," Zayed said.
