Base it Right:

When it comes to putting up a perfect base for a Card Party, tinted soufflés/ mousses are the safest options. Both these bases are waterproof to keep your makeup intact all-night during the party. Start-off with applying these matte tinted soufflé on freshly cleansed skin and blend it perfectly to hide all your skin flaws and pores of the face. Go for a mousse with a pinkish tint if you’re fair; or settle down for a yellow-tinted one if you’re a bit on the duskier/wheat-ish side. You may try matching your foundation by applying it on your jawline; the one that emerges invisible after application is your best-buy! 

Blush-on few metallic hues:

After you are done with the base of your makeup – blushers are a must for this night-centric festival. For cheeks, use pink or peach shade blushers which are sure to bring-up the warmth of your face. And, for highlighting above your cheekbones – opt for gold or silver hue to let all the eyes stuck on you!

Add a dash of pop to your peepers:

Colored eyeliner as well as kohl is in huge rage these days, especially since major fashion icons were seen sporting various shades kohl and eyeliners on various occasions. And, there are no restrictions when it comes to coloring your eyes; right from greens and blues to white and purple, you can have them all! But, make sure to strike the balance with only carrying bold lips with a neutral eye makeup or other ways. Moreover, different shades of red have become the hot picks of celebrities; be it any shade of red, all offer a glamorous, sultry and sexy look. All you need to do is just pick your suitable shade to turn this Diwali merrier! Choose the right hue based on your natural skin tone. If you have fair skin, blue-based reds, like cherry reds should be your choice. Whereas, an orange-based red hue is perfect for medium skin tones. Chocolate skinned beauties should use a purple-based red such as an ultra-ripe pomegranate shade.
