High voltage ‘Tap’ sensation with ‘Tap Dogs’

Renowned Australian group Tap Dogs for the very first time performed the popular, energetic and enjoyable dance form – Tap Dance – in India. In Pics: The Tap Dogs Tap Dogs known for their raw energy, improvisation and spontaneity delivered a memorable live extravaganza. They were at their best as they showcased their talent to a packed hall. Their feet movements and coordination astonished and bamboozled the large gathering that cheered the Australian Tap dancers. The musical instruments added a pinch of ‘rock n roll’ as their feet thud like drums beating during a gig. The synchronization effect of their energy was quite visible when they showed their manly skills of tapping alongside fire and power tools. These stunts with props surely caught the imagination of the big gathering. Dressed in flannel shirts, faded jeans, tank tops, cut off shorts, these ‘Dogs’ barked the night to glory. Their interaction with the crowd and cool attitude made the audience go berserk. Tap dancing, an art that requires immense expertise and charismatic attitude was a super hit as many Indians added their names on top of the Tap Dog’s fans list. Their gleaming humour made the crowd laugh every time when the Tap Dogs grunted. Tap Dog’s performance was followed by a House Night that saw youngsters and veterans merge together on the dance floor as the DJ echoed with the loudspeakers. They would also be performing at Hitex in Hyderabad on June 02 and Swabhoomi in Kolkata on June 06, during their Indian tour. The group of six artistic performers from Australia, set foot on Indian soil on 25th May ’07. The Tap Dogs enjoy a huge female and gay fan following in North America, Europe and Down Under.
