Melbourne: Lara Bingle has left Australia for New York, with hopes of rejuvenating her modelling career. The ex-fiance of Aussie cricketer Michael Clarke booked a ticket to the Big Apple, where she is frantically chasing modelling opportunities.

A fortnight ago she told Grazia mag: "I know I need to build up people`s respect and I`m going to have to start at the bottom and work up." But fashion insiders predicted Bingle would struggle in New York. "New York is all about high end fashion campaigns and editorial work," News.com.au quoted one respected fashionista as saying. "Lara is simply too short for the catwalk and she has no presence on the international runway to help secure editorial," the fashionista added. ANI
