Emma cuts off her locks for the pixie look
London: Her long blonde locks are as famous as her character Hermione Granger from the superhit `Harry Potter` series, but Emma Watson has cut her hair into the fashionable new pixie style.
The 20-year-old actress was almost unrecognisable as she showed off her cropped hair while catching a cab in New York`s with friends, reported Daily Mail online.
But while Emma appears pleased by the new crop, her fans aren`t finding it quite so magical, having become used to Emma as Hermione, with her famously long, curly hair.
And despite admitting she would be extremely sad to say goodbye to the Harry Potter franchise, Emma is clearly keen to make a fresh start for herself with a drastic new appearance.
The actress, shot to fame when she was cast as Hermione in `Harry Potter And The Philospher`s Stone` at the age of 11, and has since maintained the same hair style.
Emma`s new look bears an striking resemblance to Mia Farrow when she made the classic horror film Rosemary`s Baby in 1968
Emma`s new crop could also have been influenced by her new boyfriend George Craig, the lead singer of rock band One Night Only, who she started dating earlier this year after meeting while shooting the Burberry campaign.
Since finishing shooting the final two Harry Potter films, `Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows`, Part I and Part II, Emma has returned to New York where she is currently studying at Brown University.
