London: Fashion designer John Galliano will meet Geraldine Bloch, the woman he is accused of making anti-Semitic remarks to during an altercation at a Paris cafe last week.
The 50-year-old designer has been ordered by the public prosecutor`s office in the French capital to see Bloch. She has claimed to police officers she was called a "dirty Jew face" by Galliano, who also threatened her friend Philippe Virgitti, reports a website. Galliano was subsequently arrested and suspended by fashion label Dior, saying it had a policy of "zero tolerance" on racist or anti-Semitic behaviour. Galliano is now making an attempt to salvage his reputation and job and has claimed through his lawyer and witness statements that he never uttered racist or anti-Semitic slurs. Meanwhile, a second woman has also filed a complaint against the couturier for making anti-Semantic remarks in the same bistro. IANS
