London: Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum, who must have thought that they had chosen a unique design that was sure to get them noticed, faced embarrassment when they both chose Cleopatra as their Halloween costume this year.
But, thanks to Hurricane Sandy, despite already giving fans a sneak peek on Twitter, Klum will be keeping her Egyptian queen look under wraps until Christmas.
Meanwhile Gisele, who is expecting her second child with husband Tom Brady, posted a Facebook picture of her Queen of the Nile ensemble on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old supermodel’s regal queen was clearly inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s 1963 rendition of Cleopatra, as the brunette is seen in the same iconic blue eyeshadow and braided black wig, the Daily Mail reported.
Both Victoria’s Secret beauties opted for ornate collars and golden snake-headed headdresses - though Klum’s two-foot design wins for height alone.
The 39-year-old gave fans a sneak peek at her elegant Cleopatra costume last month on her website, posting a video of designer Martin Izquierdo fitting her.
A make-up free Heidi even managed to flaunt cleavage in the bold, glittery gown with gargantuan winged sleeves.
