London: Actress Joan Collins is famed for her unwavering poise but she was left blushing after walking into a glass door at the Ascot races, where none other than the Queen was in attendance.
The grand dame of British showbusiness, Collins quickly recovered and was soon seen posing for the gathered photographers, reported Daily Mail online.
The 77-year-old `Dynasty` star who was hit between the eyes by the door said that she was feeling disorientated as her husband had just developed a painful back problem.
"I was hit right between the eyes and nearly broke my nose. I was so stressed about Percy that I wasn`t looking where I was going, but I`m fine now," said Collins.
The actress who once famously quipped, "If he dies, he dies", when asked about the 32-year age difference between her and 45-year-old Mr Gibson, added, "Percy`s not well. He has slipped a disc and needs lots of rest, but he`s OK now and should be alright."
Despite the accident Collins spent an enjoyable day at Ascot.
She enjoyed the company of the Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie as well as Simon Cowell and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
