London: Katie Holmes, whose divorce with Tom Cruise was finalised only on Monday, will be showing her new designs at New York Fashion week next month and has a string of film roles and a Broadway show to come.
The 33-year-old actress has the successful ‘Holmes and Yang’ company with her stylist Jeanne Yang and they have decided to present the line at one of the most prestigious events of the fashion year.
Her show falls on the same day as one-time best pal Victoria Beckham’s showing of her new collection.
“This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of media scrutiny,” the Daily Express quoted a source as telling the New York Post.
“They could have done a small show elsewhere so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business,” the source added.
