Katy Perry banned from wearing `spinning candy bra` over injury concerns

New York: Katy Perry’s infamous “spinning peppermint bra” has been declared a safety hazard by tour insurers, after her hair got caught in the twirling device in a minor accident.

“My hair got caught in the wheels of my spinning peppermint bra and began to coil around and around. I’m forced to just go with it so, by the end of the song, it looked quite like I was licking my own [bleep]. What a girl does for her art,” the New York Post quoted Perry as telling the Sun.

But, fans shouldn’t worry, the pop diva further explained a new, better bra is in the works.

“I keep being told the insurers are worried I will injure my neck,” she said.

“I seriously doubt it could be lethal but they want a new bra designed that will not allow hair to be caught up,” she added.

Perry wore her spinning-peppermint ensemble while she performed in New York during her “California Dreams” tour.

In the meantime, fans won’t be left wanting for fun lingerie.

According to UK music mag NME, Perry has a cupcake bra, a film reel bra and more signature pieces. The singer, whose ‘Part of Me’ 3D concert film hit theatres last week, has also donned a bikini that squirts whipped cream.
