Lakme Fashion Week to pay tribute to Indian textiles

Mumbai: The Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) summer/resort beginning Friday will be a tribute to Indian textiles. It will dedicate a full day to Indian craftsmanship and textiles.

"As thought leaders in Indian fashion, our endeavor is to strengthen LFW as a platform every season. This edition will see an eclectic mix of Indian designers and a dedicated day to showcase the vibrancy and magic of Indian weaves and crafts." Anjana Sharma, director-fashion at IMG Reliance, said

"Watch out for the `New Look` source area that will adorn various installations along with Talent Box collections from young design talent. We at Lakme Fashion Week offer sponsors, partners, designers, industry professionals, design students and all attendees a series of unique experiences, each designed to explore, educate and celebrate fashion," she added.

The fashion week, which will kickstart with a Gen Next show featuring the collections of seven aspiring designers, will also see some Bollywood celebrities walking the ramp.
