London: Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Ciccone was pictured promoting her mother’s fashion label ‘Material Girl’ at a special show in New York this week.
Lourdes, 14, looked like a vintage movie starlet with bright red lips, a yellow heart-print dress and tumbling dark hair.
It was the label’s first anniversary celebration at a Macy’s department store, which included a runway show and a brief appearance by Madonna herself.
However, she seemed more than happy to take a back seat and look on with pride as Lourdes explained the hottest looks from the range.
“When it comes to clothes for warmer weather, it’s shorts for spring that are all the rage for the girls. I’m, like, obsessed with them,” the Daily Express quoted Lourdes as telling the crowd.
Later, she cut a four-tiered birthday cake covered in black and pink icing and decorated with sparklers.
Material Girl is aimed at teenagers and young women who want to emulate the high-end fashion they see in magazines without shelling out hefty sums from their pockets.
