Mums-to-be show off baby bumps in pregnant bikini pageant

London: A beauty pageant in the US, reserved specially for mothers-to-be, saw contestants stripping down to bikinis and showing off their burgeoning bumps.

The participants of ‘Rod Ryan’s 7th Annual Pre-Labor Day Pregnant Bikini Contest’ held in Houston, Texas, were seen dancing, gyrating and even doing splits on stage, the Daily Mail reported.

The expectant mothers, who were being cheered by their husbands and boyfriends, took part in diaper changing and throwing contests before donning their bikinis in the final round.

The rules of the competition organised by 94.5 The Buzz radio host Rod Ryan, states that the contestants must be due within three months, while the first prize winner went away with 800 dollars in gift vouchers, a digital camera and a teeth whitening treatment.
