Los Angeles: Rapper Nicki Minaj is troubled by fans who try to grab her famous derriere and plans to start wearing a "booty protector" made of barbed wire.
The `Massive Attack` hitmaker was gifted the spiky item by US chat show host George Lopez who hoped that the barbed wire will put off fans such as popstar Rihanna who have previously enjoyed grabbing Minaj`s ample curves, reported Daily Mail online.
The 25-year-old star was appearing on Lopez Tonight when she was given a cage made out of wire fashioned into a belt, by the show`s host.
Lopez said Minaj has "magical powers in her posterior" and after being presented with her gift, Minaj said, "I love this, George thank you! I love this."
For months, rumours have spread across the web, that Minaj underwent surgery or uses pads to boost her bottom.
But the singer has rubbished the reports.
"Absolutely not. People will pick anything to talk about, and that happens to be the thing at the moment. I love being a conversation piece," she said.
