Priyanka`s ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ look a rage with teenagers

Mumbai: After looking uber-stylish in ‘Dostana’, Priyanka Chopra is making a new fashion statement with her dishevelled look in ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. A far-cry from the neat and prim-proper look, Priyanka’s ripped and knotted style in her upcoming film has become a rage with the youth. The former beauty queen has become a fashion idol for teenagers and they are imitating her style in their high schools and colleges. And the man behind the actress’ latest avatar is none other than ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra. While talking about Priyanka’s look in the film, Manish said to a news daily, "While putting together Priyanka`s look in the film I came up with the idea of cutting and knotting her tee to look edgy since that`s the style I wanted her to sport in the film. Her shorts I picked up from London and it looked very cool on her so we decided to stick to it." The designer has been single-handedly responsible for changing the look of the Bollywood heroine. And he has designed costumes for five major release this year – ‘Robot’, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, ‘We Are Family’, ‘Action Replayy’ and ‘Golmaal 3’. So, if you come across a teenager with ripped tee and grungy look, don’t be alarmed – she is just following the fad!
