Rabani & Rakha pays tribute to beauty

Husband-wife duo Rahul and Shibani Rastogi present an exquisite summer line.

New Delhi: A mix of Indian and western summer wear made with georgette and chiffon in shades of yellow and green forms the spring-summer collection of Delhi-based label Rabani & Rakha and the makers say it is a tribute to beauty.
"Every attire is an ode to beauty... We have used exquisite fabrics like chiffon and georgette to create vibrant and contemporary seductive attire," said Shibani of husband-wife duo Rahul and Shibani Rastogi, the designers behind the creative part of the label. The collection has a variety of gowns, dresses and contemporary Indian wear. "The garments have various shades of yellow and green found in nature to bring in a sunny, zesty spirit. It creates an image full of warmth of the sun and the hues of the sea." Gautam Rakha, who takes care of marketing, told reporters: "Our collection is a synthesis of cultures, fabric and styling. Rabani & Rakha own classy creations. Their magnificent design fuses modern silhouettes with rich detailing, resulting in contemporary clothing for a modern woman." Rabani & Rakha was launched in 1999 by Shibani and Rahul and very soon Rakha also joined them. They have a store in Delhi in The Crescent mall and also have an outlet in Khar in Mumbai. "The label has rapidly gained appreciation from fashion connoisseurs and an elite clientele. Known for exquisite and intricate work, Rabani & Rakha are creating distinctive and memorable clothes," said Shibani. IANS
