Reese Witherspoon’s belly tattoo represents new life and love

Washington: Reese Witherspoon who flaunted a huge tummy tattoo in bikini while vacationing with family this summer had set tongues wagging.

It has now been revealed that the tattoo - a star flanked by two small birds - is believed to be a symbol of her marriage to Hollywood agent Jim Toth.

“She has had the star tattoo for a few years,” a source close to Witherspoon told Us Weekly.

“After she and Jim got married, she added two birds -- one to each side of the star,” the source said.

“In some ways, [the star tattoos] kind of symbolized their new life and love together. People consider Reese to be such an All-American sweetheart so it is more unexpected for her to have ink,” she added.
