New Delhi: After Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone, Bollywood continued to make its presence felt on the fourth day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), with veteran actress Shabana Azmi cheering for designer Anita Dongre here Tuesday night.
The actress, who looked elegant in red and black outfit, sat in the front row and was seen enjoying the show.
The front row also saw the presence of a rather unexpected guest -- Hindi poet and humourist Surender Sharma.
The designer`s collection was extremely feminine, relaxed and comfortable with clean and hassle-free styling. It included a range of maxi-dresses, knee and ankle length dresses, shift dresses, shirts dresses and shirts with sleeves.
The garments also had laces and hand embroidery on it. The prints on the dresses were inspired by ikats of Andhra Pradesh and block prints from Rajasthan.
While the fabrics used were cotton, silk and georgettes, the colour palate included pastel hues of pink, blue, yellow, green and her signature white colour.
"There was no theme as such for my collection. My whole idea was to create clothes that women are comfortable wearing. My garments are very elegant and wearable, something which the women can relate to," Dongre said after the show.
Another highlight of the show was the live music being played at the backdrop with models swooning over it and enjoying themselves, as they sashayed down the ramp.
