Sienna Miller backs No Cruel Cosmetics initiative

Washington: Sienna Miller has joined the list of high profile celebrities who are supporting the campaign to end animal testing on cosmetics.

Apart from Miller, celebrities like Sir Paul McCartney and Kimberly Wyatt are also supporting the No Cruel Cosmetics Initiative undertaken by British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV).

The initiative calls for a ban on animal testing for toiletries and cosmetic products sold in the European Union (EU) and as per the plans, it will come into effect in 2013.

“We are delighted to have the support of Sienna Miller. It is totally unacceptable for animals to continue to suffer and die in the name of beauty,” Contactmusic quoted Michelle Thew, Chief Executive of the BUAV, as saying.

“Please join Sienna and support our No Cruel Cosmetics campaign to end cosmetics testing on animals. Sign our petition to the European Parliament at,” Thaw added.
