London: The down-to-earth Duchess of Cambridge loves to sneak into posh London shops hunting for clothes and beauty tips, without having anybody notice her.
One of Kate Middleton’s favourite is Peter Jones department store in Sloane Square, where she regularly goes as she is treated just like any other customer.
The staff over there realised it was her only when they spotted the distinctive engagement ring that had belonged to Princess Diana.
“She loves the idea of still being normal and the fact she can come in and no one looks twice at her,” the Daily Star quoted a shop insider as saying.
“Even though millions of people saw her on the television for the royal wedding she looks quite ordinary in real life. We only realised who it was when we saw that incredible engagement ring,” he added.
During her recent trip, 29-year-old reportedly spent 30 minutes at the Bobbi Brown make-up counter discussing about a brown eye shadow.
