Ganesh Chaturthi special recipe: Dry Fruits Modak

Try out this easy to make recipe on Ganesh Chaturthi to welcome mighty Lord Ganesha.

Ingredients:

2 cups of seedless Dates

10-15 walnuts

20-25 almonds

20-25 cashew nuts

½ cup raisins

2 teaspoons ghee

Method:

Finely chop all the nuts. Chop the seedless dates too.

Now roast the dry fruits for about 2-3 minutes. Make sure they don’t get over roasted.

Now heat ghee in a pan and add the chopped dates and raisins. Keep stirring until it becomes dough like in appearance.

Take it off the flame and let it cool.

Coarsely grind the roasted dry fruits. Then add this mixture to the date and raisins dough.

Turn on the flame and mix it thoroughly.

Now, take it off the flame and let it cool a bit. Once the heat is manageable, divide this mixture into several small sized equal box and shape them like modaks.
