Monsoon special recipe: Palak Bhajia
2 cups spinach leaves
2 tbsp gram flour
1 tsp rice flour
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp roasted cumin seed powder
1 tsp ginger (grated)
1 tsp ajwain
3-4 fresh chopped green chillies
Pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste
Water for mixing
Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Wash and chop the spinach roughly.
In a large mixing bowl mix all the ingredients except spinach, water and oil.
Add the spinach and toss roughly to coat it with mixture.
Add the water little by little to make a mixture with a thick consistency.
Heat some oil in a wok for deep frying.
Spoon in the mixture in small portions into hot oil. Deep fry in medium high heat.
Serve hot after sprinkling chat masala on top or with ketchup.
