New Year recipe: Gingerbread cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour, ½ spoon more for rolling

2 teaspoons ginger powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder

1/4 teaspoon cloves powder

1/2 cup  butter (salt less)

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup  brown sugar

2 eggs


Thoroughly mix the flour, ginger powder and other powdered spices, baking soda, and salt.

Now use a hand blender to beat butter and brown sugar until it turns into a smooth creamy like texture.

Then beat the egg and mix the flour mixture, butter and sugar mixture too to make a sough.

Now wrap the dough and keep it aside for a couple of hours.

Then preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Now divide the dough into four equal halves and roll it with a rolling pin. Place the, on a waxed paper and freeze them until firm. For over 15-20 minutes.

Once the rolled sheets are firm, cut them into the shapes that you want. Greas a baking tray and place then cut pieces and bake them for around 15- 20 minutes.
