Recipe: Andhra tomato Rice

2 Cups Basmati Rice
6 Tomatoes
1 Onion (medium sized)
5 Green Chillies
1 Potato
Half cup fresh Green Peas
3 Bay leaves (curry patta)
12-15 Curry Leaves
1 tsp Cardamom Seeds
1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
4 Cloves
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Turmeric
Ginger and Garlic Paste

How to make Andhra tomato Rice:

First, wash the rice and soak them in water for 30 minutes. Now chop all the vegetables finely.
Take a pan and heat the oil. Add all the spices and cook them for not more than 2-3 minutes.
Add the chopped vegetables.
Cook it until the vegetables become soft.
Now add soaked basmati rice after draining water. Mix it well.
Add the contents into a pressure cooker and cook it on a medium flame for 2 whistles.
The tomato rice is ready to be served.
It is best enjoyed with raita/curd/Dal/Sambar.
