Try out this yummy apple pie.
2 ½ cups white flour
2 tablespoon sugar
5 tablespoon veg shortening
8 tablespoon ice water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter cut into pieces
Ingredients for filling:
8 medium sized apples
2 tablespoons margarine
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup floor
Put flour, sugar, salt in a bowl and stir them. Add the butter pieces and veg shortening and cut them in with a knife.
Now pour the ice water and blend them until the dough holds together.
Keep the dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead it together and divide in half.
Flatten each half into a disk, wrap it and chill for half an hour.
Roll out one of the disks on a floured surface and put the round dough in a pie plate.
Trim the extra edges and put it back in the refrigerator until you are ready for the pie.
Now add the filling (below) and roll out the other dough and cover the top. Put both the edges together with a fork. Cut a couple slits in the top.
Heat oven to 425 degrees
Evenly slice the peeled apples
Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt in a bowl and blend with the apples
Put the mixture in pie plate and dot with margarine.
Cover with top crust and cut slits in the top.
Bake until crust turns brown
