Enjoy the tasty and delicious apple ring manchurian.
10 slices of apple in rings
2 tbsp lime juice
Salt to taste
1 cup Refined flour (maida)
2 tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
Oil to deep fry
For the sauce:
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
½ cup finely chopped onions
For the sauce mixture:
3 tbsp corn flour blended with ½ cup water
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp Soya sauce
1/4 cup tomato puree
2 tsp chili sauce
1/4 tsp ajino motto
1 cup water
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp spring onion green part to garnish
Mix half the salt in lime juice and put the apple rings in it for 5 minutes.
Sieve together refined flour, cornstarch, salt, white pepper powder and baking powder.
Add sufficient water to make a thick batter.
Whip this batter with whisk or hand continuously for five to ten minutes.
Heat sufficient oil in a kadai Dip Apple rings in the batter and deep fry till crisp. Keep aside.
Heat the 2 tbsp oil, and stir-fry the garlic and onion in it over high heat, till the onions look glossy.
Add the sauce mixture,(corn flour blended with ½ cup water, vinegar, salt, Soya sauce, cup tomato puree, chilli sauce, ajino motto, water, sugar)and simmer till the sauce thickens and becomes translucent.
Add the fried Apple rings, turn around a few times and serve garnished with green part of spring onion.
