1 pack of phyllo dough
1 pound of chopped nuts
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup of water
Firstly, start with preheating the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Put the butter on the bottoms and sides of a 9x13 inch pan.
Toss the chopped nuts and ground cinnamon together. Place the phyllo dough. Now, cut whole stack in half to fit pan. Cover phyllo with a cloth.
Place two sheets of dough in pan, with butter. Repeat this process until there are 8 layered sheets. Then, put some nut mixture over it. Top with two sheets of dough, butter, nuts and layering. The top layer should be about 6 - 8 sheets deep.
Cut into any shape at the bottom of the pan. Bake for about 50 minutes until it turns golden and crisp.
For the sauce, you can boil the sugar and water. Add vanilla and honey inot it. Simmer for about 20 minutes. You can then put the sauce over baklava. Keep it aside to cool. You can also serve in papers which are used for cupcakes.
