The simple, natural colours of life!

Drowning in a violent splash of reds and greens and letting the mischievous impact of water wash away all troubles is what draws me to celebrate this festival of colours. Holi is the hallmark of sheer gaiety that drowns us in mirth amidst myriad shades. It symbolises more than just a vibrant spatter of colours. Also about the colours of life, this festival is reflected in the saffron glow of the rising Sun, the blue horizons of the boundless sky, velvety greens of nature and bubbly petals of the red rose. The festival of colours reminds us that life too is a mixture of different shades. These could be as dull as brown or as bright as red. The Red Rose: A symbol of love, the red rose is used by lovers across the globe to celebrate romance. Its hues are reflected in the rosy cheeks of a baby or in the rage of a grown up. Splashing this colour will fortify your spirits. Gaze at this picture for just a while and see what I mean! The Green Grass: This colour of nature is found in abundance. It could be the smooth blade of the grass or the soft feel of a leaf. The rain-washed carpet of a garden attaches much vivacity to its essence. The core of which is being tapped by ecologists resulting in boosting green technology. When a bed of water soaks the greenery of nature, the dew-like glow makes other colours turn Green with envy; spraying dashes of this colour rouses your friendliness. Take a look at this and understand! The White Snow: Does it not remind you of Snow White? It brings the chill, freezes the body, but is still a hit with tourists. The snow-capped mountain peaks and the frozen ice in places like Gulmarg is a much sought after honeymoon spot. The dress of the bride is as white as snow to symbolise the chasteness of purity. The colour of innocence, yet your face turns white in the face of horror. Relish this visual whiteness to wash yourself of negative emotions! The Yellow Sun: The yellow rays of the hot sun fall soothingly on the skin during the cold winters. The same streaks seem biting during summers when sun seems scorching. Spatter this colour to add some flamboyance. The phrase ‘as bright as yellow’ is used often to signify luminosity. Illuminate yourself with the visual treat! The Orange Saint: The saint represents spirituality. He chooses this colour to portray it. The robes reflect a connection with God. The shades of saffron also stimulate the soul. A little spice to yellow and orange comes inviting. Get wet with orange today to live one day with a touch of sanctity. Observe with your spirit, this picture! The Pink dress: The soft tinges of this shade make up the wardrobe of a little girl. A woman feels like a young teenager in love with blushes of pink on her radiant cheeks. The best dress for a romantic evening is one with generous doses of pink mushrooming on it. Dabbing a hot pink lipstick completes the effect which reverberates in any room she enters. Shower the ‘Gulabi Rang’ coupled with pink lips and pink cheeks. Watch the glow it brings. Reveal your effeminate or romantic side, notice this picture for sometime! The Blue Sky: Heaven showers its blessings through the blueness of the sky. A small bird wants to fly very high! As cool as blue! A doze of this hue is like more gust added to the wind. The blue horizons depict sky-rocketing ambitions. The uniqueness of this shade lies in the bits of traits that it takes from all the rest. Smudge everyone you meet with this colour to make them soar with delight and cuddle in your friendship! The Black Hole: The scientific meaning of this is that it absorbs everything and that it why it is so dark. There cannot be anything as black as a black hole. The ‘as black as night’ phrase does not do justice to the colour. Night is always illuminated by the Moon and the stars. Black reflects nothing. It characterises tolerance. It is not a Holi colour though some like to play with black paint! Gaze at this and decide! The Rainbow: The contours of nature are finely mirrored in the seven stripes that emerge up above. When the warm rays of the Sun hit droplets of water after the spell of rain is over, the heaven springs forth flashes of colour in red orange yellow green blue indigo and violet. The rain seems a blessing in disguise because what follows it fills the cup of joy to the brim. Mix all of these shades and watch the tint it acquires. Then dust this powder of colours on all faces. What brings you a smile is a feast to the eyes!Draw your own conclusions. But, PLAY SAFE!
