Recipe: Cucumber Koshamberi

Enjoy cucumber koshamberi side dish with lunch and dinner.


2 cups cucumber, grated and peeled
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
2 to 3 strands of coriander leaves and mint leaves
1 tsp lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste

For tempering:

1 tsp mustard seeds
1 green chilli, chopped,
A pinch of hing,1tbsps chana and urad dal
3 to 4 curry leaves
2 tsp oil


Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

For tempering - heat oil and add mustard seeds.

Once the seeds splutter, add the green chillis, chana urad dal, hing and curry leaves.

Add the seasoning to the other ingredients and mix well.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves.

Serve cold as a side dish during lunch and dinner.
