1 + 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (dark)
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 pinches salt
1 cup (220 g) sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1/2 cup milk or water
1/2 cup vegetable oil (flavorless)
Preheat oven to 300 degree F. Butter a 9 inch (23 cm) tin.
Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl and mix them well.
Add milk, vegetable oil and eggs to the mixture.
Mix everything until the mixture turns smooth, mix them either using an electric mixer or by hand at a very slow speed.
In case the batter is too runny you may add more flour slightly.
Transfer the mixture to baking tin approximately for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out.
After the cake has cooled, cut the cake through the middle to make two layers (this becomes easier if the cake has been in refrigerated).
