Recipe: Honey Coated Potato Balls

This starter has an Asian flavour and is coated with honey to add to the sesame flavour. Deep fried, hot and crispy, it is a perfect party appetizer.


1 cup Vegit Aloo Mash
1 whole red dry chilli deseeded and broken into small pieces. 
150 ml hot water.
1 tbsp oil .
1 tsp sesame seeds.
¼ cup honey.
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce.
Salt to taste.

Method of Preparation:

Add water and salt to the Vegit Aloo Mash and stir well, keep aside for 10 minutes.
Divide into 15 equal portions.
Shape into balls.
Deep fry in hot oil till golden, drain and keep aside.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.
Add the sesame seeds, roast lightly, add dry red chilli pieces.
Add the honey and sweet chilli sauce and heat for 3-4 minutes on a low flame stirring continuously.
Add the fried balls and toss.
