Recipe: Imli Poha

Check out this easy to make tangy imli poha.


Poha- 1 cup (big size)
Tamarind paste- 4 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds- ½ a spoon
Urad Dal- ½ a spoon
Chana Daal- ½ a spoon
Peanuts- ½ a spoon
Red Chillies- 2
Asafoetida- a pinch
Oil- 3 tsp
Turmeric power- ½ spoon
Salt to taste


Wash poha, soak it for a while and then drain the water.
Add some water to the tamarind paste.
Now add this tamarind water to the poha and mix evenly.
Heat some oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, channa dal, urad dal, peanuts and red chilli .
Add the dals to the tadka once the mustard seeds splutter.
Now add turmeric powder, a pinch of asafetida and salt.
Add the tamarind poha mixture to the tadka.
Stir it well and garnish with coriander.
