Recipe: Karela Fry
Karela or bitter gourd acts as a bood purifier and is highly recommended during the onset of summer.
1 cup chopped Bitter Gourd
2 sliced Onions
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1-2 green chilli
1 tsp Lemon Juice
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
Salt to taste
2-3 tbsp oil
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and when they start to change color, add green chilly and sliced bitter gourd.
Cook covered on medium low flame till the karela becomes soft.
Uncover, add sliced onion and fry on medium flame till onion turns golden brown.
Now add turmeric powder and salt.
Remove from heat and add the lemon juice.
Serve with rice and plain daal.
