Make your pooris and chapattis tastier with khajoor ki chutney.
100 gms khajoor (dates)
1 tsp saunf
½ tsp jeera
½ tsp ajwain
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp crushed jiggery (optional)
Oil for cooking
½ glass water
Use a small mixer jar to grind the dates. Make sure you remove the seeds before putting them in the mixer jar. Add water so as to make a somewhat thick paste.
Now hear some oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. After the seeds splutter, add jeera. Now add the ground dates to the pan. Mix well. Coarsely crush saunf and ajwain. Add it to the pan. Then add salt and red chilli powder. Add some more water.
Those who have a sweet-tooth can add jaggery in order to make the recipe sweeter.
Cook until the oil floats on the top and the water reduces to half.
