If you had never heard of pyaaz ki chutney, then check this out.
½ kilo onions
One tsp of tamarind paste
3 red chillies
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp of mustard seeds
5-6 curry leaves
2 table spoon oil
Salt to taste
Heat 2 table spoon oil in a kadhai. Cut the onions into big pieces. Now add the onion to the oil. Also add red chillies, tamarind paste, salt and asafoetida and fry until the onions turn transparent.
Take this mixture off the burner and allow it to cool.
Then put the mixture in the chutney jar and grind it to a coarse paste.
Heat some mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil until they splutter.
Now garnish the chutney with this tadka.
Khatti meethi pyaaz ki chutney is ready to serve. (Sweet because onions are naturally sweet to taste).
