This Bengali recipe is easy to make and yummy to state.
Maida- 2 cups
Salt- to taste
Water- 1 ½ cup
Oil- for deep frying
Take maida in a bowl. Add ajwain, salt and 2 tablespoon of oil.
Mix the ingredients well and then add water. Knead the dough and make a tough dough.
Wrap the dough with muslin cloth and keep it aside for about 30 minutes.
Then divide the dough into 18 small balls. Then roll each of the balls with a rolling pin.
Heat oil for frying in a deep pan.
Once the oil is hot, simmer the flame and put the rolled luchis one by one in the pan for frying.
Once the luchi blooms completely, take it out from the pan.
Use a tissue paper or cotton cloth to soak excess oil
Luchis are ready to serve with vegetable curry or pickle.
