Creamy, aromatic and heavenly, this cottage cheese recipe comes straight from the cookbook of Scotland’s top chef Mahrukh Butt.
2 tbsp of olive oil;
½ tbsp cumin seeds;
1 bunch of methi (fresh fenugreek leaf);
240g of crushed paneer (cottage cheese);
80g of single cream;
Salt to taste;
¼ tsp turmeric;
½ tsp white pepper
Put 2 tbsp of olive oil in a hot pan and add ½ tbsp cumin seeds and mix in the methi. Cook for 10 minutes then add paneer (cottage cheese) and single cream with salt, turmeric and white pepper. Mix this all together, cooking for approximately ten minutes.
