Recipe: Molagai Podi

Prepare Molagai Podi to make idlis and dosas tastier.

Ingredients:

Urad dal- 1 cup
Channa dal- 1/2 cup
Dry Red chilli- 10
Hing/Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
Salt- to taste
Oil- 1/2 tsp

Procedure:

Heat some oil in a pan and roast urad and chana dal in medium heat until golden brown. Transfer the dal to a plate and use the same kadhai to roast the red chillies.

Now use a dry mixer jar and add the roasted dal and chillies. Then add salt, asafoetida and grind it to a coarse powder.
Molagai Podi is ready to serve.

You can add oil to this dry chutney and team it up with idlis or dosas.
