1 cup soya chunks
2 cups milk
3/4 cup lotus seeds (makhana)
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp custard powder

Soak the soya chunks in warm water for 20 minutes. Wash with fresh water.
Roast the lotus seeds, cool and lightly crush them. Boil the milk.
Add lotus seeds powder to the milk and cook for two minutes.
Add the squeezed soya chunks and cook.
Add custard powder dissolved in 1/2cup cold milk and stir constantly to avoid the lumps.
Cook for two minutes more. Add the sugar and mix well. Cool and keep in refrigerator.
Serve cold garnished with nuts.
