Recipe: Panakam

Ramnavami is incomplete without this drink!


300 gms Jaggery (shredded)
5 Green Cardamom Pods (crushed)
1/4 tsp Dry Ginger Powder
Juice of 1 lemon
600 ml Ice cold water
Salt to taste


Add the shredded the jaggery to chilled water.
Add cardamom powder to jaggery mixture along with ginger powder.
Stir the ingredients to blend them well in water.
Add salt and lemon juice. Mix again.
Pour in glasses and serve.
