Recipe: Pepper Bhindi Masala

Try out this yummy Bhindi recipe.


• 250 g Bhindi
• 1 onion
• 2 tomatoes
• 2 green chillies
• ¼ cup rice flour
• ¼ cup gram flour
• 2 tsp pepper powder
• ½ tsp amchur powder
• Salt to taste
• 5 tsp refined oil
• Coriander for garnish


Clean and cut bhindi into 1-inch pieces. Heat 2 tsps of oil in a pan and shallow fry bhindi for 2-3 minutes. Take them on a plate and set aside.
Take remaining oil in a pan and fry chopped onions and chopped green chillies till the color changes. Add gram flour, rice flour and fry till raw smell goes stirring constantly. Add ½ cup water and mix gradually so that no lumps form. Add chopped tomatoes and cook. Add some water if necessary.
Now mix salt, pepper powder, amchur powder and bhindi. Simmer and cook over a low flame till the masalas are coated to the bhindi. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with roti.
