Try out pitla with rice or bhakri
Besan- 1 cup
Mustard seeds (rai)-1 tsp
Asafoetida – ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1tsp
Kokum (Black Dry) – 4-5 pieces
Onion-2 (finely chopped)
Garlic Paste- 2 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt- to taste
Prepare a mixture of Besan and water whisking slowly to avoid lumps.
Add salt, red chilly powder and kokum.
In a pan heat 3 tsp oil (to avoid dryness) and add mustard seeds, when they splutter add asafoetida and turmeric.
Add onions and garlic paste and sauté till well done.
Pour Besan mix and cook till dry and serve hot with coriander.
Depending on the consistency preferred can be eaten with rice or bhakri.
